| Report
of the Utah State Task Force on Ritual Abuse
In 1992 a state sponsored task force on ritual abuse prepared this report of its findings. It describes aspects of ritual abuse from the viewpoint of mental health professionals at the time. After the report was presented the task force was dissolved and the Utah Attorney General's Office conducted an investigation. Had the task force remained intact and encouraged to provide both input and feedback, the investigation might have been more successful. |

| Ritual
Crime in the State of Utah
This document is a report by the Utah Attorney General's Office of their investigation of claims of ritual abuse in Utah. The investigtion was conducted in response to the Report of the Utah State Task Force on Ritual Abuse. However, the investigators didn't find much. A review of the report shows that the investigators understood very little about how mind control works. Also, they neglected to incorporate the expertise of mental health professionals into their investigation (though they did interview them at the onset). Therefore the very limited results should not be surprising. Use this table to view or print individual components of the report..

| "The
Greenbaum Speech" Hypnosis in MPD: Ritual Abuse
This is the text of a speech given by Dr. D. Corydon Hammond of the University of Utah regarding the roots of ritual abuse in the United States. This speech was given at a time when Utahns were optimistic that an investigation would prove fruitful. The limited findings of the investigation (in spite of its' obvious insufficiencies) has since been used by skeptics to label this time period as the "hysteria" of the early 1990s. |
